Preferred Parking & Other Incentives
Carpooling and vanpooling are more appealing when accompanied by on-site incentives such as
Preferred Parking. The Junction TMO assists its members in developing and implementing policies that identify and reserve the most convenient – or “preferred” - parking spaces for carpoolers and vanpoolers.
In addition, regularly scheduled raffles for fuel debit cards and other prizes help inspire employees to do their part to reduce congestion and improve air quality by leaving their single-occupancy vehicles
(SOVs) at home.
Other incentives that companies can provide to make non-SOV commute modes more convenient for employees are on-site food services, showers, fitness centers, bike racks, ATMs, and pickup and delivery laundry services. Each of these amenities may spell the difference for employees who are considering an alternative commute mode.
